Form Design, Panelization, and Realization

Form Exploration

An exploration of abstract form through digital design and physical making. The geometry was developed and panelized in Grasshopper, then translated into a Bristol paper model, testing how a complex surface can be decomposed, folded, and assembled into a continuous three-dimensional form.

22 ga - Inflated Metal Stool

22 ga

A stool design exploring the structural and tactile potential of inflated sheet metal. Fabricated from 22-gauge steel and wood, the project investigates how a thin metal surface can be welded and expanded into a soft, cushion-like form, contrasting the apparent lightness of the seat with the rigid supporting frame.

Group project with Matthew Pena, Lana Shafiian, and Jessie Smith.

2×4 Bridge — Structural Design and Load Testing
2×4 Bridge — Structural Design and Load Testing

2x4 Bridge

A structural design exercise exploring how limited material can be used efficiently to carry load. Working with a fixed number of 2×4 wood members, the bridge was designed and assembled without nails, relying on carefully developed joinery, geometry, and material placement to achieve stability and strength before being tested under increasing weight.

Group project with Ines Bici, Shengyuan Liu, and Xiaoyu Shi.
